The LaserJet 4050 is the successor to the very robust HP LaserJet 4000 and the two printers are virtually identical except for the formatter board (the LaserJet 4050 has a slightly faster processing speed).

This is the printer we use in our offices! The laserjet 4000 and 4050 series printers are some of the most reliable laserjets ever made. Printing cost is less than a penny per page with compatible toners.

The HP 4050 comes standard with 8 MB RAM and one 500-sheet tray.
HP LaserJet 4050 N
The HP 4050N comes standard with 16 MB RAM, an HP JetDirect card for connecting to a network, and one 500-sheet tray.
HP LaserJet 4050 T
The HP LaserJet 4050T comes standard with 8 MB RAM and two 250-sheet trays.
HP LaserJet 4050 TN
The HP LaserJet 4050TN comes standard with 16 MB RAM, an HP JetDirect card for connecting to a network, and two 250-sheet trays.
