HP Laserjet 4, 4 Plus, and 5 optional cassette pickup roller installation

** Note: The maintenance kit installation procedures are identical for the laserjet 4, 4M, 4 Plus, 4M Plus, 5, 5M, 5N. **

You can replace the optional lower cassette pick-up roller without moving the printer off of the lower cassette, however we removed the printer so you can see the roller from the top.

The roller is circled below. Pinch the tabs on the roller while sliding the roller off of the shaft.

Slide the new roller on the shaft and rotate it until the pin on the shaft is seated in the roller. Push the roller until it clicks into place. The pin in the shaft is circled below.
