This is an industry first and the only long term solution to fix the problematic swing plate issue inherent in these Laserjets.
We sell this metal gear assembly as a repair part. If you're considering a replacement printer, we also install this brass gear in all of our refurbished HP LaserJet 4200, 4300, 4250, 4350, 4345 series printers.
Installing a brass gear quiets the printer, but it can also help extend the life of your fuser assembly, because there is less friction and thus less wear on both the fuser gears and the fuser sleeve.
You can purchase the metal gear separately, or the entire swing plate assembly kit. -
