Grinding noise (rumbling) on HP LaserJet M5025 M5035

If you're hearing a grinding noise from the fuser area on your HP LaserJet M5025 or HP LaserJet M5035 series printer, you may have a worn-out fuser drive assembly. This is becoming a common issue as these printers age.

You can remove the fuser and inspect the fuser drive assembly gears for wear.  Replacing this part is considered a medium to advanced level repair and will involve removing all the outer covers and disassembling the printer.  If you decide to purchase a replacement fuser drive assembly from PrinterTechs, we can provide instructions.
