Grinding noise on HP LaserJet M601 M602 M603
One common failure part on the HP LaserJet M602, M602, M603 series is the fuser drive assembly. Usually you will hear a grinding-type noise coming from the rear of the printer.
Often, the noise becomes more obvious when a new fuser is installed, because the gears on the new fuser do not mesh well with the worn-out gears in your printer.
We sell a repair kit to fix this problem. For those of you familiar with printer repair, the installation steps for these gears will be similar to replacing the swing plate on the LaserJet 4250/4350 series printers.
