Fuser Kit Low (HP Color LaserJet M553) Fuser Kit Very Low

The message "Fuser Kit Low" or "Fuser Kit Very Low" on your HP Color LaserJet M553 series printer is a warning that you have reached the recommended number of prints for your fuser assembly.  (The fuser assembly is the consumable part in your printer which heats up and bonds toner to the paper. Usually the fuser gets replaced several times over the life of these printers.)

The fuser kit is a user-replaceable part; it is a very quick install and only takes about 1 minute.

After you replace the fuser kit, you can reset the fuser page counter by selecting the New Fuser Kit item in the Reset Supplies sub-menu and the warning message will go away.
